Life On Warfarin 華法林

Hi, I have a mechanical valve implanted in Dec 2006 due to severe Mitral Valve Propalse. I am taking warfarin, a lifelong anticoagulation to avoid blood from clotting around my metal heart valve.

Currently, I am taking 4mg of warfarin daily. My INR therapeutic range is between 2.0-2.3.

There are many types of food & beverages & medication that can & will interfere with the effects of warfarin. Several times, I might experienced a sudden surge or drop in my INR, either due to a change in my diet, or a type of medication which I had taken.

I believe there are other warfarin users who may feel frustrated too. It is simply impossible to know or identify all possible warfarin interactions, be it from food or medication, & to avoid them all together. To make things worse, warfarin medication tends to have a narrow therapeutic range.

With that in mind, I have set up this web site, Life On Warfarin 華法林, to share my life experiences, of living on warfarin. I have also included other warfarin-related information which may be of interest to you.

For those who enjoy an enhanced, & more interactive information sharing platform, you can also check out my personal warfarin blog .

Through Life On Warfarin 華法林, I hope other warfarin users can better understand warfarin diets & warfarin side effects, & minimize the risk of warfarin interactions.

There will be more warfarin-related information in time to come, as I will sharing more life experiences which I will encounter over time.

Do drop by frequently to check out on the new postings.

If you have any question or feedback with regards to my web site, please feel free to drop me an email. I will try to get back to you as soon as I can.

Hope you will find Life On Warfarin informative & beneficial to you.

Take care, & see you again!
